"Expectation" Yacht Charters

Expectation; a Bayliner 3818

Expectation is 38’ by 13.5’ beam and draws 3’6”. She is powered by twin 175hp diesels and cruises economically at 10 knots. Fuel tanks hold 300 gallons and water tanks hold 120 gallons. Bayliners are famous for their efficient systems and exceptional use of space to provide amazing accommodations for a 38’ yacht.

Expectation sleeps up to 6 in 2 private staterooms [forward and port respectively] and a fold-down double in the salon. She is most comfortable with 2 couples that each enjoy a queen berth, a private head with vanity and share access to the shower and bathtub. Luxury linens and towels are supplied.

The galley is forward and starboard. A four burner electric stove with oven and a built-in microwave. To compliment the galley, a propane BBQ and a 2-burner are mounted on the covered stern deck so that morning coffee and evening grilling do not require starting the generator. The galley is very well equipped with high-quality pots, pans utensils and knives. There is plenty of storage and the refrigerator is generous with a separate freezer. A second freezer is found in the cockpit in case of long cruises or good fishing. The deep stainless sink and pressure hot water make clean-up easy.

The cockpit, fly-bridge and salon are all outfitted for your choice of socializing, entertaining or privacy. The cockpit has a table and chairs for al-fresco dining, the fly-bridge seats 6 in upholstered comfort under a bimini for shade or protected from all weather with the transparent curtains in place. The foredeck is the best place for several people to lay out for sun.

The salon seats 6 at the dinette and another in the easy chair with room to bring in chairs from the cockpit if needed. This is where the LCD TV and DVD system are located as well as the stereo system: a state of the art ipod docking system with 15,000 songs in the pod [or bring your own favorites]. The entertainment equipment and lighting operate from the house battery bank without use of the gen-set.

Operations and navigation: VHF, GPS, Depthsounder are standard. There are steering stations on both decks. There is a remote start for the generator from the salon deck and the AC/DC electrical panel nicely integrated with the main helm so the skipper has everything at his fingertips. Access to the engines is by large hatches in the cockpit and Expectation’s mechanicals are assessed before every cruise by professionals.

Expectation’s tender is a 9’ hard dingy with oars. It is carried on the swim grid with a fast simple tilt-up tilt-down launching system.

Expectation is a fully equipped, luxury yacht, perfectly designed and outfitted to cruise the BC inside passage. Your trip will be one to remember and repeat with variations for many years.
